Home Visits

If nature of your condition warrants that you are unable to drive or travel comfortably, HPWC offers a full range of specialist physiotherapy services and equipment in the privacy and convenience of your own home. This service is also utilised by clients experiencing difficulty performing everyday tasks at home. This could be getting in and out of bed, in and out of chairs, up and down stairs, lack confidence to walk outside on their own and those that require assistance with everyday activities such as washing and dressing.

We provide a mat or plinth (treatment couch) and any other treatment equipment you may require.  All that is needed is an area at your home that is big enough to put up the plinth or spread out the mat and allow you the privacy you need.

You do not have to be referred by the GP or wait for an NHS appointment. We are flexible with our appointment times and we can see you within 24 hours during the week.

Physiotherapy in your home helps to ensure that you receive the benefits of treatment at a time when you are least mobile. Often, treatment that is initiated in your home can be followed up in our clinic.

This service also includes visiting clients at care homes or nursing homes.  The fees for home visits are higher to cover travel time and costs.
