Musculoskeletal physiotherapy helps to recover from injury and conditions which affect muscles, joints and soft tissues.
This may be by stretching, strengthening, relearning movement patterns, mobilisations, manipulation, neuro mobilisation techniques, myofascial trigger point release, acupuncture, massage or by using some electrotherapeutic modalities such as ultrasound or interferential.
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy may be appropriate in the following conditions:
- Low Back Pain (LBP)
- Neck Pain/Headaches
- Herniated disc (Slipped disc)
- Joint Pain and Stiffness
- Muscle Strains and Tears
- Arthritic conditions
- Tennis/Golfers Elbow
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Shin splints
- Post-surgical rehabilitation (e.g. Knee/Hip replacement)
- Post-fracture rehabilitation
Thank you for your excellent treatment for various problems. My knee replacement has a normal range of movements and strength , so does my hip. You enabled me to ski less than 8 weeks after my hip replacement. My surgeon was amazed. I have recommended several friends to you and they are all very impressed with the services. Thoroughly recommended.

I can’t recommend Hale Physio/Wellness Centre in Ware highly enough. Celia on reception is welcoming, friendly and efficient, creating a good impression from first contact. Johanna is the physio I have seen and in three sessions she has sorted a problem I’d had for over a year. She combines a warm character with total professionalism and a wish to empower clients to improve their own wellbeing. Her expertise in physiotherapy and acupuncture has made such a difference to me and I’d recommend her to anyone.
