Shockwave Therapy
What is Shockwave therapy?
Radial ShockWave Therapy is a modern and very effective method of treating chronic pain.
In addition, its effects can be noticed in as little as 5 sessions.
Shockwave Therapy accelerates the healing process due to stimulating the self-healing properties of the body. They improve the metabolism and the blood circulation allowing damaged tissue to recover and heal itself. Most patients will feel the results immediately after treatment and will continue to feel the effects weeks later. The treatment has up to an 80% success rate.

How does it work
The Physiotherapist will apply the shockwave applicator to the symptomatic area. The shocks last between 3-5 minutes in total. This will be combined with other modalities depending on the condition. You may expect to feel some discomfort but this will resolve within 24 hours.
Your therapist will describe to you what will be happening and what you should feel throughout the treatment.
