A growing body of evidence shows that traditional acupuncture is beneficial for a wide variety of conditions. It is most popular for headaches and migraines, osteoarthritis of the knee, TMJ, low back pain, or for common health problems like an overactive bladder, stress management and to improve wellbeing. Many people choose to have acupuncture if they feel generally unwell but have no obvious diagnosis.
As well as seeing patients for the above conditions, Sunny specialises in women’s health problems such as fertility issues, menstrual problems, pregnancy ailments, menopause and more.
Her journey with complementary and alternative medicine began after seeing first-hand experience of its benefits. She has been practicing since 2006, qualifying as a holistic therapist after 2 years of studying a holistic diploma focusing on reflexology, massage and aromatherapy, including Indian head massage and aroma skincare. In 2012 she enhanced her massage skills by undertaking a diploma in sports massage. In 2016 she graduated with a first class honours degree in Chinese medicine acupuncture.
As well as working in private practice, first in Norwich, then in London and Hertfordshire, she has also worked with organisations such as Mind, BBPositive, NORCAS and the NHS with a focus on mental health, HIV, addiction, stress and bereavement.
Her approach is an empathetic one and incorporates knowledge as an acupuncturist and complementary therapist to create a unique and synergistic treatment. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, pilates and long walks.
